Balanced Life Group Fitness

~An Outdoor Fitness Group for Women~

Located in Tallahassee, Balanced Life Group Fitness is an outdoor fitness group designed specifically for women. Classes meet Mondays,Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (5:30-6:30am) with optional long runs on half marathon training Saturdays. ALL LEVELS WELCOME! If you want to take your health to the next level, Balanced Life Group Fitness may be the tool for you!

 As a fitness professional I believe very strongly in an integrated approach to exercise. Balanced Life Group Fitness is based on the foundation that optimal fitness is achieved through training the body on all levels: cardiovascular endurance, strength training, core training, flexibility training, and anaerobic (speed or intensity) training. We use various equipment and do a wide variety of exercises to keep the body from plateauing. Balanced Life Group Fitness provides quality and comprehensive weekly routines targeted especially for women to keep them lean, strong and balanced. The format of the class also provides the friendships, accountability and FUN needed to maintain motivation as each woman works towards meeting her personal fitness goals.

Now is the time to get in shape, meet new friends and enjoy the benefits of consistent exercise!



MONDAYS- 

A.K.A All Over Mondays…a high intensity interval class that combines bursts of cardio with fabulous strength training moves. Geared to rev up the metabolism at the beginning of the week!

TUESDAYS-

Cardio endurance. ALL LEVELS…come and get that heart pumping for the entire class…work on distance or speed, walking, jogging, or running.

THURSDAYS-

Strength Training…always different methods and moves to tighten the body and build fat-burning muscles.

FRIDAYS-

Flexibility Fridays…SO IMPORTANT for keeping your body LEAN and YOUNG! This is such a beneficial class for overall health and pain free living!

What do you bring?

Yoga mat, towel, water and 2 sets of weights…I will supply the rest

What can I expect at a BLGF class?

*All fitness levels are welcome...I show modifications for everything we do*

We generally spend 2 days improving cardiovascular endurance, and 2 days doing strength & interval training:

  • PIYO- Pilates and Yoga Fusion
  • walking/jogging/running- depending on your level
  • speed and distance training
  • strength training
  • band exercises
  • combination moves
  • balance moves
  • ball exercises
  • speed drills
  • jump rope
  • plyometric/power exercises
  • abdominal and core training
  • partner exercises
  • Deep stretching & flexibility training
  • FUN, FRIENDSHIP & ACCOUNTABILITY!
  • Group training for 5k, 10k, 15k and half marathons (Saturdays)
